Their are two different styles of lace wigs are most popular and hot selling now: front lace wig and full lace wig. Lace front wigs are typically worn down and have  lace mesh base only around the front hairline and rest of cap was made of hair weaves or hair extensions. Full lace wig is typically can be worn in a high ponytails and whole full lace wig cap was constructed with lace base material. Each style features different types of wig caps, front lace cap with adjustable straps at back that can be adjusted if you need to make them smaller or a little bigger.

Style your natural hair as you normally would wear it with a front lace wig. That may include braiding it in corrnows or slicking it down.Remember that the bulkiness of your natural hair will affect your front lace wig fits your head.

Secure your hair with a stocking cap or human hair lace wigs liner. This is to create a flat surface on which to apply the lace front wig for an accurate fitting.

Place the lace front wig on your head to determine where the hairline goes. When the front lace wig is in the position you want it, evaluate which side is too large. sometimes wig caps may be larger around the crown area, back of your head or around the ears.

Remove the synthetic lace wigs from your head and turn it inside out to expose the cap.

Lift the ribbon below the ear tabs that runs from bottom to top and fold it over. Sew the ribbon to the front lace wig cap with a needle and thread that matches the color of the cap.

Place the front lace wig back on your head to determine if it fits suitable. If the wig fits properly, you are done. If the front lace wig is still too large, you can adjust the straps at back to let the circumference smaller.

Continue in this manner until your lace front wig is as small as you need it to be. Make sure to leave enough room to accommodate the normal motion of your head.

Since high quality best lace wigs can cost hundreds of dollars, you may want to have your lace wig made smaller by a professional stylist if you are not sure if you can manage it or not.
